Role Overview – Programs Officer
The Programs Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth implementation and monitoring of CODE’s diverse projects. This position requires someone who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of multitasking across various program areas. The successful candidate will support project design, execution, and reporting, while collaborating with research, program, and financial teams.
Key Responsibilities
As a Programs Officer at CODE, your responsibilities will include:
- Research & Analysis – Conduct contextual research and operational assessments to inform project design and implementation.
- Project Documentation – Support teams by documenting project requirements and providing actionable input.
- Monitoring & Reporting – Track project objectives, milestones, and activities, preparing regular progress reports.
- Planning & Coordination – Develop work and action plans, manage project timelines, and coordinate program-related meetings, trainings, and conferences.
- Financial Support – Monitor project expenditures, assist in budgeting, and contribute to donor reporting.
- Promotional & Program Materials – Prepare briefs, speeches, reports, and other program-related documentation.
- Fundraising Support – Identify funding opportunities and contribute to proposal development.
- Representation – Represent CODE at relevant events, conferences, and training sessions when needed.
Required Qualifications & Skills
The ideal candidate should meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Policy, Project Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 2–4 years of experience supporting development or civic programs.
- Strong research, monitoring, and reporting skills.
- Experience with budgeting, expenditure tracking, and donor reporting (advantageous).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and collaboration skills.
- Passion for transparency, accountability, and citizen engagement.
