The Community Cultivation Team builds strong, relational networks that help members transition into climate-focused careers, share industry knowledge, and create connections. Volunteers in this team play a vital role in supporting members to find jobs, launch climate ventures, or integrate sustainability into their current roles.

Furthermore, WoCl’s volunteer teams span diverse functions, enabling professionals from multiple industries to contribute their expertise to climate action.

Open Volunteer Positions

Work On Climate currently offers several volunteer roles. Each position helps advance the organization’s mission while allowing volunteers to develop skills and gain experience in climate work.

Community Engagement Moderator

Moderators maintain a vibrant and supportive Slack community. You’ll help members follow community guidelines, foster positive connections, and ensure interactions remain high-quality as the community grows.

Mentorship Team Lead

Mentorship is critical to WoCl’s mission. Leads support programs like Expert Office Hours and SME initiatives, helping participants achieve goals, develop regenerative careers, and gain insights from climate experts.

Data Engineering Team Lead

This role coordinates the technical direction of the Data Infrastructure team, ensuring data systems support WoCl’s programs efficiently and reliably.

Research Analyst

Impact research volunteers study the effectiveness of WoCl’s programs using surveys, interviews, case studies, and usage metrics. The team’s findings inform program design and demonstrate impact to funders and allies.

Volunteer Recruiter

Recruiters identify potential volunteers and match them with suitable opportunities across the organization’s core teams.

People Operations

Volunteers in people operations support recruitment, onboarding, and team coordination, helping WoCl maintain a strong and productive volunteer workforce.
